Chapter 2: Partnership
              
       "Well, are you or are you not Takato Matsuki?" the vixen asked, her voice was claim and eleagent.  Takato was amazed, never in his life did he imagine that he would be face to face with a real digimon, let alone this one.
          
       "Y-y-yes, a-and your..." slowly,  she crossed her arms, leaning against the wall.
         
       "Renamon," she sighed lightly," Your partner- and guardian- from this point on," she stoped, now looking at the young man's face, his shock had into absolute joy.    
         
       "This.. is... so... COOL!!!" He ran over, wrapping his arms around her as he did so," I swear, I'll be the best partner you've ever have!!"
          
       His reaction put Renamon in a awkward situation, she wasn't use to getting "huged", she tried to remained slient, but it was just to strange to her,  " Please, let go of me."
            
       " Oh, heheh, sorry..." he blushed a bit," It's just- this a dream come true! "
            
       " Takato! Who are you talking in there?" his mothers' voice could be heard from behind Takatos' door.
                    
       " Ah crap, if my folks see a five foot tall talking fox they'll freak..." he contenplated. Unfortunatly, he didn't have much time to so as his mother opened the door. He closed his eyes, praying for a miracle.
            
       " Takato*sigh* I swear, you need to stop talking to yourself, you're going to have people thinking you're crazy," she stated. Takato opened his eyes and looked arounded, she jumped up into the conner, she motion for him to stay quite.
             
       " Okay Mom, " he said with a smile, mentally noting to lock his door from this day forward.
                
       " Good. Oh, and dinner's ready whenever you are!" she chimed.
              
       " Yeah... I'll be down in a bit ," with that, she left. Takato was, to say the least, relieved. He thanked his lucky stars for 753rd time about this week. Renamon jumped down from her hidding place.
        
       "Man that was close!*sigh* Lets not repeat that again," Renamon agreed, that was far too close for her liking." O.K., we've got to find somewhere for you to stay...*snaps finger*I've got it! The attic, it's roomy, I'll clean it up so you can stay there." He grined," Don't worry,there's a bed and evrything up there, the best part is my folks don't ever go up to the attic anymore !" He grab her hand,"Come on, let me show you."
                
       The next few days went on rather claimly, the renavation of the attic went smoothly, all though Takato cought himself sevreal times looking at Renamon for really no reason. Everything went fine, until Monday.
       
       " Okay, I've got to get to school Renamon, " Takato explained, " I'll be out at  3:45."        
       
       " We're going to met at Shinijuku Park afterwards, correct?" she verified.
       
       
       "Yeah! Of course!" he shouted, rushing of towards school, " Later!"

       The small white creature began to stir slowly," Huuh, where am I?" he looked around, he was atop a building somewhere. As he scaned his surronding, he noticed a small purple imp setting on the edge. Quickly, he ran over to speak, tapping him on the arm.
       
       "Eh? Well I'll be, it's a talkin' cream-puff," the imp stated, his New Yorker actsent shined through," Wuz' up? Or down in your in case."
        
       "Hi,I'm Calumon! Huh, do know where I am?" he questioned, the imp looked at him in a bit of disbelief befor reclaming his composer.
       
       "Well Cream-Puff, your in Real World! Shinijuku, Japan!"he shouted, "And if you're here, that means you made it pass the Firewall, that's mighty impressive for someone like you, good job."
       
       " Thanks! I think," he chimed.
       
       " Witch means, you are officially you cool enough to hang with me, the single most badass rookie around, Impmon, baby!"he proclaimed, " Come on, I'll show ya MY city." And so, Calumon followed the over zellous imp into a new world... with new problems.

       School went well, for the most part. He got D on his math homework and a C- on a pop quiz in History. All day, he felt as though he was being watch, which was bad since he was already paranoid. At Lunch, Kenta and Kazu bumbarded him with question about where he was this weekend. As tempted as he was to tell them, he knew he couldn't, not now anywhy. As they talked, Takato noticed Jeri walking over, she had just got back from the school's forein exchange program.
       
       "Oh, hey Jeri! Long time no see. How you been?" he asked his best friend.
       
       "Takato!!It's so great to see you!! Oh, you too, Kenta! Heh, you know me, just got back from the US!" Jeri's happy demeaner seemed to change everyones mood.
       
       "What am I, choped liver?" Kazu said in a hurt fashion.
       
       "It's great to see you too, Kazu.*sigh* How could I NOT miss you!" she joked. As the four friends cought up, Takato felt something strange, like that whatever it was watching him was... content, pleased to see him happy. The rest of the day went on as usual, feeling of being watch faded. After school, Takato lied saying he had to help his mom and dad with the bakery. He didn't want to be late, he still had question about the Digital World and where she came from, her history, if you will.
       
       "Hey, sorry I'm late. I had to drop off my stuff at home," it was 3:57," So you wanted to talk about something Renamon?"
       
       "Yes Takato, since you and I are parnters, the two of us need to be both phyiscally and mentally perpared for any and every possible situation," Takato looked confused, so Renamon explained,"Starting to day, I will be both your tutor and and mentor. We will begin with basic mathatics and historical fiction, then you'll began your first Tai-Chi lessons..." Takato was now completely lost, then it him like a bag of bricks, she was going to be his teacher...
       
       "WHAT!?!?!?"
